Aeson is revived by Medea

Aeson was the son of Cretheus and brother of Pelias and Neleus of Messenia. His throne was usurped by Pelias after the death of his father. When his son Jason grew up, Pelias sent him to fetch the Golden Fleece. When he returned with Medea the sorceress, she cut up Aeson's aged body and placed in into a pot, which he then climbed out of, revived and youthful. Pelias' daughters tried to do this themselves and ended up killing their father. Jason then restored his father as king. He was succeeded by Jason.
