Genies, also known as Djinn and Jinn (sing. Genie, Djinni, Jinni) are spiritual creatures that inhabit a world invisible to man. In popular culture, they have become more associated with living in lamps and bottles and wish-giving. However, in classical Arabian mythology, they were both good and evil, have free will and can follow any religion they wish. Also in Islam, they will be judged on the day of judgement with the rest of man. They are heavily featured in One Thousand and One Arabian Nights.
