Hathor

Hathor is the Egyptian goddess of love, fertility, women, motherhood, music, and dance. Hathor is the daughter of Re. Her husband was Horus. She was mother to Ahy, the god of music and musicians.

In Mythology

Sometimes referred to as the mistress of turquoise she was mainly worshipped in Dendara & Thebes. She sometimes appears in the form of a cow with the sun disc between her horns and at other times shown as a beautiful woman bearing the same sun disc & horns. Hathor’s sacred animals are the cow, lioness, and snake.
