- This article is about the Greek princess, for the people inhabiting northern Africa, see Libyans.
Libya was a Greek princess, the daughter of King Epaphus of Aethiopia and Egypt (himself son of Zeus and Io) and Memphis, daughter of Nilus, a river god. She was the mother of Belus (who later ruled Egypt and Libya) and Agenor (who came to rule over Phoenicia) by Poseidon.
