The Muses of the Titans were an association of five sisters, Aiode, Melete, Thelxinoe, Arkhe and Mnemosyne. They were the predecessors of the Olympian Muses.

AiodeEdit

Aiode was the muse of song and dance. She was aunt of the Olympian Muses

MeleteEdit

Melete was the muse of practise. She was aunt of the Olympian Muses.

ThelxinoeEdit

Thelxinoe was the muse of mind-charming and sweet music. She was aunt of the Olympian Muses.

ArkheEdit

Arkhe was the muse of the beginnings of music and early sound. She was aunt of the Olympian Muses.

MnemosyneEdit

Mnemosyne was the muse of memory and, by Zeus , was mother of the Nine Muses of Olympus, Calliope, Clio, Erato, Thalia, Euterpe, Polyhymnia, Terpsichore, Melpomene and Ourania. She was also grandmother of the Apollonic Muses through Calliope.
