Nörvi is the father of Nótt, the Norse goddess of the night. As such, through her first marriage to Naglfari, he is the grandfather of Audr. Through Nott's second marriage, this time to Annar, Norvi is the grandfather of Jörð, making him great-grandfather to Thor, Jord's son by Odin. Through Nott's final marriage to Delling, the god of dawn, Norvi is the grandfather of Dagr, the god of day.
