Sthenelus is the son of Perseus and Andromeda. He succeeded his elder brother Electyron, as king of Mycenae. He exiled Amphitryon, his nephew, for the accidental murder of his brother. He was succeeded by his son with Nicippe (the daughter of Pelops), Eurystheus.
